1 / 2Z-Vertigo Boulder Gym
📍 Singapore, East
Z-Vertigo is a cosy bouldering gym in Bukit Timah Shopping Centre, run by ex-national climbers who set technically varied routes from grades 1 to 7. Kids classes run for ages 5–12, and shoe rental is available on-site.
Cosy gym with interesting routes and cool vibes. Gym owners are ex-national climbers, very experienced routesetters as well as very good coaches. Route gradings were well spread out. Routes were well set, you can see there is thought in the process, the routes have consistency and flow; and often set in a way that can teach you a certain technique. Even in a similar difficulty grade, you will experience routes that require different sets of techniques to complete them. Definitely one of the best places that can provide an enjoyable learning experience. They sell drinks there too so don't worry if you forgot your water bottle.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
"Everyone is so friendly and approachable, not just the owner — the chill atmosphere made it easy to just climb and learn at our own pace." Kids aged 5 and above are welcome with an accompanying adult.

“Amazing climbing gym! You'll find many strong climbers here. Plenty of challenging routes(grade 3 and above) but also more than enough beginner friendly problems. Setting style is tensiony and beta-intensive. The walls aren't high so it's good for practicing difficult moves. What I enjoy most is the chill atmosphere - Everyone is so friendly and approachable, not just the owner. There's also a moonboard for anyone that's interested.”

“They have a cool event called Z vertigo carnival where u climb with no chalk and get points, even giving away cool patches to everyone who comes into the gym. Upgraded the stars from 4 to 5. Super friendly staff, if more events are planned I'm sure the patrons would really enjoy. Go na add the patch to my bag”
