1 / 3Toa Payoh Dragon Playground
π Singapore, Central
One of Singapore's last surviving dragon-shaped playgrounds, featuring stone slides, climbing rings, a large sandpit, and bouncy horses. Free entry with pram-friendly access.
My favorite childhood playground during 1980s. Had many fond memories playing catching with my primary school mates. There were many of such playground around during those days but now this is the only one remaining. Visited on a weekday afternoon and place is relatively quite. Though it is quite out of the way, I strongly recommended for those who like to relive their childhood memories before it is gone for good.
π Family Action Verdict
A one-of-a-kind outdoor play experience that connects generations β grandparents who played here as children can share that memory with their own grandkids. Toddlers love the sandpit and the dragon's belly slides, while older kids scale the climbing rings. Bring a hat and sunscreen as shade is minimal, and arrive on weekdays for a quieter visit.

βThis is an iconic dragon playground. One of the very few sand playground around as well. While it is small, the kids have fun just running around the dragon and posing with the dragon. Located opposite Toa Payoh Safra and near Lian Shan Shuang Lin Monastery.β

βToday visited the legendary nostalgic Dragon Playground. The old slide what is made of stone and the sandy playground under the hot shimmering sun. Glad my daughter had a short moment of fun and also experienced our past playground memories.β

Overview
The Toa Payoh Dragon Playground is one of Singapore's most beloved heritage landmarks, a dragon-shaped stone structure from the 1970s that has outlasted nearly all of its kind. Kids can climb the dragon, slide down its stone slides, dig in the sandpit below, and bounce on horseback riders nearby. Benches line the perimeter for supervising parents. Access is flat via Lorong 5 or via stairs from Lorong 6, located opposite Toa Payoh SAFRA.
