๐ŸŒฟTiong Bahru Park was built in 1967 and revamped in 2000. ๐ŸŒณIt is a community green space for the residents of Henderson, Bukit Merah and Lower Delta Road. ๐ŸšถMany nearby residents visit the community Park for their morning exercise routines. ๐Ÿš‚The tranquil park features a sand-filled Tilted-train Playground centrepiece. ๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ›๐Ÿฆถ๐ŸŒนOther features includes a Dog Run, Various Fitness Corners, Foot Reflexology Path, and Therapeutic Garden. ๐Ÿช‘Shelters and benches are strategically located around the Park. ๐ŸšปThere is also a public toilet near the Therapeutic Garden. ๐Ÿ›นA network of paved pathways wound around the spacious park. ๐ŸชฆFun note: Tiong Bahru is a combination of Hokkien and Malay word. "Tiong" (ๅกš) in Hokkien means "graveyard" and "Bahru" (Baru) is the Malay word for "new". A park that earns repeat visits โ€” the tilted train and flying foxes give it a distinct identity, while the sand play area gives younger children their own engaging zone. The therapeutic garden and exercise corners mean grandparents have their own space too.

โ€œOne of the most beautiful parks in Singapore that I have come across. There's a tilting train with numerous slides coming out on both sides of the train cabins. There's also sand in the park and kids love to play in the sand and built sand castles! Surely one of the most fun parks for kids around. There are also two flying foxes set up and my first time seeing this in a playground! There are also other playground set up for toddlers as well as an exercise park for the elderly. Extremely impressed by this park set up. A 'must' visit for kids!!! And it's free too.โ€

โ€œThis Park is considered not very big but is convenient to the neighbouring residents. Since my retirement in year 2015, I lead a group mostly elderly retirees in Daoyin Yangsheng Gong qigong exercise here. This form of Qigong focuses on guiding (daoyin) energy and movement in the body to promote health, wellness, and longevity (yangsheng).โ€

โ€œA nice decently sized park that is minutes walk away from Tiong Bahru MRT, and about 1km walk away from Redhill MRT. The park features a big playground for children, a therapeutic garden, some gazebos, many sheltered areas with seating, and a dog run. Thereโ€™s also a public restroom with water coolers for drinking.โ€

Overview

Tiong Bahru Park centres on a distinctive sand-filled tilted train playground with slides coming off both sides โ€” a landmark that draws children from across the neighbourhood. Two flying foxes are a rarity in Singapore playgrounds and are consistently popular with older children.
