1 / 3Civil Defence Heritage Gallery
đ Museum, Central
Civil Defence Heritage Gallery at 62 Hill Street combines museum exhibits with Singapore's oldest working fire station. Retired officers lead tours filled with real-life stories, antique fire engines, and hands-on emergency education.
I came here to celebrate the contribution of my friend's grandfather, John Angus, who was an important part of the Singapore Fire Brigade's history. I was greeted with warmth and shown around by two kind and friendly managers there. It ended up turning into a 40 minute conversation about duty, values, and the public good. The museum is child friendly and informative, but more importantly I consider it to be a memorial to the sacrifice of those who place the safety of others before their own. Very touching and moving. Long live Singapore, and those who selflessly serve.

âFree admission. Interesting place for adults and kids to learn about civil defence in Singapore. Those who love antique fire engines etc will love this place. Salute to all fire fighters and life savers from the past, present and future. ** The staff in the gallery were very warm and friendly, especially the man at the entrance. Keep up the good work. 18/09/24.â
