โA skater told me about this place today, so I visited for the first time. It was empty during the weekday afternoon, so I had the place to myself. There's a place to shelter from the rain and stay hydrated. The ramps are wider and taller than those at stadium skate parks, so it's easy to carve turns. The floor is generally smooth and easy to slide around on, so softer wheels might be a good choice. There was absolutely no trash, and the park was very clean.โ

โSo sorry to say this, but to me this skatepark was built without proper planning. Itโs such a waste of space & misleading in branding it as โyouth creates skatespotโ. Itโs promoting that itโs created by youths who donโt know how a skatepark flow suppose to be which I doubt so. Examples are as follows: 1. A ledge was built in a awkward position @ close to a manual pad run up. 2. The ramp/quarter-pipe that was built under the graffiti is redundant which I guess was meant to be purposed or miss-led as a wall-ride. 3. Foundation is poorly built. 4. Both the ground surface & the ramps were too slick for comfort when skating. 5. There was no room to push & prepare for creating tricks or even landing them. The flow was just not there. 6. The mini-ramp already has major chips on its plywood looking surface which can be hazardous when skated on even-though this skatepark was recently built. Shouldnโt it be an all weather-proof one since itโs out in the open? The water cooler station was dusty & water from it was not even chilled thus proves no one was using it. This is definitely not a beginner/intermediate user skatepark. If there are โProsโ who believe that this skatepark is acceptable, then I apologise to you all for this review & I believe that the organisers/design team should re-label or re-brand this skatepark as a โProfessional-only Skate Spotโ instead. As a sportโs genre that promotes skateboarding is fun, a skater at my level cannot progress in this style of facility. It was my first & will be my LAST time skating at this skate spot. It took away the fun in skateboarding for me for the first time ever. To the relevant departments who design this skatepark, I am not being ungrateful nor appreciating for providing such a facility which is free for use & open to the public but honestly, you guys could have done it better or at least put a lot of thought into it before building it as it will be a permanent structure. I do hope that this facility was not just built for the sake of building. If so, your team shouldnโt have built it at all in the first place as itโs a waste of our countryโs taxpayers money. Our skateboarding community deserves better than this.โ
