1 / 3Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve
π Central
Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve is a preserved mangrove ecosystem with shaded boardwalks, observation hides, and regular wildlife including crocodiles, otters, snakes, and migratory birds. Entry is free.
A Serene Sanctuary for Nature and Learning Sungei Buloh is more than just a park β it's a rather rich experience in tranquility. The moment you step inside, the city's noise fades away almost, replaced by the gentle sounds of rustling mangroves, calling birds, and water lapping at the mudflats. The atmosphere is incredibly calm and restorative; it's the perfect place to quiet your mind and reconnect with nature. Itβs heartening to see the government actively preserving such a vital ecosystem. The well-maintained boardwalks, observation hides, and informative signs show a real commitment to conservation, allowing us to witness this unique habitat responsibly. I was told schools organised groups for their students. Itβs wonderful that educators are bringing children here, turning the reserve into a living classroom. There's no better way to foster a love for our environment and teach the next generation about the importance of protecting Singapore's natural heritage than by letting them experience it firsthand. A truly commendable and beautiful place. Highly recommended for a peaceful walk and a dose of hope.

Another visitor noted: "Very few people, and at times the place felt almost abandoned, which made the experience even more unique and peaceful." Schools regularly bring students here, turning it into a living classroom.

β13/November/2025 Visited this place in the morning. This is my 4th visit. Always encountered new wildlifes here. Signages are clear and informative. Easy to walk around the reserve. Toilets were big & clean. Drinks vending machines were available. I drove & carpark lots were readily available.β

βDefinitely worth a visit if you enjoy nature and wildlife. We saw many interesting animals, including snakes, crocodiles, and lizards. There were very few people, and at times the place felt almost abandoned, which made the experience even more unique and peaceful.β

βWe saw quite a lot of wild animals(otters, squirrel, big lizard, many breeds of birds, heard monkey jumping on top of the tree as well) but no crocodiles, I think the time is wrong, better before 8am on weekdays, and definitely not weekend.β
