River Wonders is a beautifully maintained and thoughtfully designed park, especially well suited for families with children. The entire place feels clean, organized, and easy to navigate, making the visit comfortable and enjoyable. Do be prepared for a fair amount of walking, particularly if you’re heading towards the giant pandas and the river cruise area. The good part is that most walkways are well sheltered, so you’re protected from both sun and rain, which makes the long strolls much more manageable. It’s also a good idea to carry a water bottle, as there are free water refill stations available across the park. The animal enclosures are well planned and allow you to spend quality time observing the wildlife. I could easily watch the pandas for a long time, they’re incredibly cute and calming to observe. The manatees were another highlight, especially since there is currently a baby, which makes the experience even more special. The otters were equally entertaining and fun to watch. There is also a café inside the park that serves panda-themed food and desserts, both in design and presentation. The items are not just visually cute but also quite tasty, making it a fun stop, especially for kids. Since River Wonders is located right next to the Singapore Zoo, it’s definitely worth planning enough time to cover both attractions in one day. Overall, it’s a relaxing and educational experience that combines comfort, great design, and memorable wildlife encounters. Highly recommended, especially for families and animal lovers.

While at Mandai Zoo we booked the Manatee Mania and the River Wonders Tour. Miguel was our guide for both these activities and he was a fabulous host. The Manatee Mania experience was by far the greatest and favourite of the 2 for our family. The back areas where we went to gwt ready to meet the manatees were clean and the staff was always asking us to be cautious and careful around the different spaces to make sure we were safe. They were friendly and helpful the entire time. The atmosphere was calm and it was very enjoyable. There was plenty of food to feed the animals and an experience I would recommend all to do. The River Wonders Tour was a great way for the kids to get local information about the zoos inhabitants and Miguel did a fantastic job answering our questions. He was thorough and detailed in his explainations and you can see his passion in preservation of the rainforests of Singapore including all its inhabitants, great and small. He has extensive knowledge of the native flora and fauna and provided a great experience for all of my kids 3 aged 13, 10 and 7 years old. He did well in catering the language and jargon for all levels. The kids enjoyed your talk immensely! Thank you Miguel!

A very beautifully designed park which consists of animals from land to fishes in fresh water aquarium. The entire place was very well designed and information & direction boards were very well laid out which make navigating very easy. Most of the walkways are also well maintained and sheltered from both sun and rain. The giant panda is definitely the highlight. There are 2 seperate enclosure for both pandas KaiKai and JiaJia so you are able to see them in various perspectives. There is also Amazon river quest boat ride at the end of the walk, at $5 per ride (unlimited). The entire ride was around 5 minutes but we could see some of the animals like leopard etc which is not featured in the park enclosure.

Spent the weekend at River Wonders with the family and it was such a nice experience. The place is really well maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The kids loved seeing the animals up close — especially the manatees and pandas. The boat ride was a fun break and made the whole visit feel a bit more special. Plenty of shaded areas too, which honestly makes a huge difference on a hot day. We took our time walking around, and it never felt too rushed or crowded. Nice balance of learning, exploring, and just enjoying the scenery together. Overall, a really relaxing and enjoyable day. Great spot for families, and we’d happily come back again.
