For a truly spiritual and cultural experience, this quiet and yet unassuming museum explains hell from multiple religions and beliefs. After seeing a wonderful film, take a tour which is included and experience a very dark disney “pirates of the Caribbean” from a much richer and deeper perspective. The ten courts of hell were built in the 1930’s and yet still resonates with power and intensity. We loved the tour that was led by Hemlata. She truly has a great grasp of religion and the connections to that netherworld known as hell!!!

🏆 Family Action Verdict

A genuinely distinctive cultural outing for families with school-age children interested in history, religion, and Singapore heritage. The guided tour of Hell's Museum is well-led and intellectually engaging. Bring water, a hat, and sunblock — the outdoor sections involve walking in open sun. Singaporeans can use Culture Pass credits for entry.

Decided to visit before part of the park is closed from 8 Dec 2025 onwards. Was very hot when we visited and so was thankful for the shady trees. Cultural experience, loved the Malay translations of the stories. Hope they will stay after any renovations. Also went into hell museum to visit the very famous courts of hell. Price for that is quite expensive but used the culture pass for singaporeans, so it was worth it.

Bring plenty of water, a hat and sunblock/glasses you'll be fine. They've got some Halloween thing going on but this place looks pretty okay for something this old. Staff were very friendly too. You can learn about concepts of hell and Chinese history/morals. Highly recommend if you want something cultural and bring your kids along for a bit of education.

It is such an interesting spot. If you have enough time, I recommend going. However, it is located a little far from downtown. So, when you don't have extra time, and you want to go to popular tourist spots, you will go there next time. I will share some photos.
