📍 Bukit Merah, Central
fit·bloc Bukit Merah is an indoor bouldering gym at Depot Heights Shopping Centre with creatively set routes, a calisthenics area, shower facilities, and shareable multi-pass bundles.
Nice bouldering gym with good amount of routes but toilets are outside of the gym! There’s showers and water cooler here. It’s smaller than the Kent Ridge outlet, and there’s no rock climbing option only bouldering. There’s also no free weights nor barbells from what I saw unlike KR, however there’s a little calisthenics area
🏆 Family Action Verdict
A solid choice for families with older children or teenagers wanting to explore bouldering in a relaxed, non-intimidating environment. The creatively set beginner routes are genuinely satisfying to work through, the facilities are clean, and the quieter atmosphere makes it easy to learn and practice at your own pace.

“The routes are uniquely set and aesthetic, with opportunities for toe hooks and dynos at lower bar levels. Very cool and satisfying boulder problems. Barely any crowd during the weekday evening I went. There’s an area beside the 2019 Moonboard for calisthenics and training. Many k.crimp holds to practice with as well, nice! Clean facilities. Lockers can be used by anyone and can set your own pin. They have shower rooms and an area to wash your feet, but toilets are outside the gym. Cost me $19 for a single multipass shared from my friend.”

“A pretty decent sized bouldering gym. Smaller than their other branch at science park but still a great place to climb. Pricing is pretty good too for $180 for 10 multipass for a year. Climbs here are not the easiest, not super technical either, the climbs here rely a lot on grip strength so not a whole lot of techniques. Has a shower area and little mini pull up bar area with some bands and dumbbells. I do find their matts a little hard for the height of their boulders. One of the highest I've been to.”

“Chanced upon this hidden gem and found out it was empty on a Tuesday afternoon. The climbs are beginner friendly and lovely for those who detest crowded climbing gyms. There's so many walls to climb from! There's even a bathing facility and a small gym for those who wants a quick workout. Really enjoyed my time here and definitely will be back!”
