1 / 3Yio Chu Kang Swimming Complex
📍 Singapore, East
Outdoor swimming complex with three pool types including an Olympic lap pool with designated lanes, a family pool, and a toddler-friendly area. Strong shower pressure. Pram accessible with very affordable entry.
I give my experience an 8.7 of 10. The strength of the running water in the showers is more than just satisfactory. The pool water, unlike Tampines Hub which is darn salty, is clean. It wasnt crowded on a late afternoon of a weekday, so I was able to do my 7 stroke per breath freestyle.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 4 and above who swim independently and want a clean, affordable multi-pool facility with strong showers. The Olympic lap pool suits adult swimmers alongside kids in the family pool. Parents with toddlers should supervise closely in the toddler area.

“Well... for the value of 1 dollar? What can I say? The place is cleaned and well maintained. There is a surge of people after 5pm but u can still swim freely. The olympic pool has a lane designated for lap swimming. Overall, a good place for a water work out. 😅”

“They have 1 of the worst staff there, especially the malay old man. I bought my kids to play in the pool on Thursday & there was no one there other then the staff. I bought along a snorkel(small size) for the kids to use. Mind you, it's just a goggles with a small tube. It's mainly for kids use. On the website, it doesn't said that we cannot use the snorkel but this malay man insist us not to use as it will disturb other people. Again, there was only the 3 of us there. Also, the snorkel is not huge. It's just a small tube, that's all. & then he purposely will sit close to us to observe us to ensure we don't use it. Totally uncalled for. Made us uncomfortable & therefore, won't be attending this facilities anymore. Beware of this old malay man.”

Overview
Yio Chu Kang Swimming Complex runs three distinct pool types: an Olympic pool with a designated lane for lap swimming, a family pool, and toddler-friendly areas. Shower water pressure is strong — a specific advantage over several nearby complexes. Pool water is consistently described as clean and not oversalted. The complex gets busy after on weekdays, with Saturday lunchtimes running relatively quiet. Staff enforce equipment rules strictly — one reviewer had a small kids snorkel confiscated.
