1 / 2The Urban Hideout
📍 Yishun, Central
A laid-back pet-friendly café in Yishun offering specialty coffee, fresh-ingredient gelato, and brunch plates including fish and chips, waffles, and linguine. Dogs are warmly welcomed indoors, with a dedicated pet food menu available.
Overall, the environment is great—super chill and relaxed. There are plenty of pet owners with dogs and families with babies, plus nice background music. The linguine ai funghi was a bit plain at first, but it quickly grew on me and became really addictive. By the time I finished, I was already craving more. It’s absolutely delicious. The egg royale waffles with salmon and egg were tasty, especially with the sauce. The avocado was nice too. The egg could be slightly more seasoned, though.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
The Urban Hideout earns its regulars through consistency in the things that matter — quality coffee, food made with care, and staff who are genuinely pleased to have you and your pet there.

“Ordered Fish and Chips and it taste great! The fish battered is crispy and the fish is tender and fresh, tartar sauce is delicious too. The service staff is so kind allow my dog go indoor and she even offered a chair for my dog to rest on. Thank you for the great food and service as there are not many food places that allow dogs indoor. Highly recommended to visit this place to chill with your pets.”

“Nice place. Quiet and away from the busy world. Pet friendly cafe. Their waffles are nice, especially when paired with ice cream. I had the waffles with Eggs Benedict. It was good, but personally I prefer Eggs Benedict on toast. Just individual preference, so no right or wrong. Maybe can consider adding more salad/veggies and reducing the vinegar in the eggs — the tanginess is a bit overwhelming and covers the egg’s flavour. Rosti is nice and crunchy. Fries is good. Not oily. Mushroom soup, egg mayo croissant, and big breakfast are all good too! The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the premium pistachio ice cream. The chopped nuts had a gooey coating around them. Not sure why. And after a few bites, there was a peppery aftertaste, which was quite strange. Also, the toilet area needs some cleaning. It’s dirty and the ventilation is poor.”
