This part of the ecp is highly suggested for kids and families alike. The long tunnel shaped slide is a big hit among kids and the sand pit facing the waters is also nice. However there are no kiosks to grab a snack or water. So please bring yours. The bus stop is also not near and hence own car or grab is the only option. Overall a nice evening experience.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Families with children who love both adventure and water play can spend a long stretch here without running out of things to do. The sand and water combination keeps younger children engaged while bolder kids tackle the tower slides. Bring your own food and drinks as there are currently no food kiosks on-site.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

⏰Drive or take Grab as public bus access to this part of East Coast Park is select
🎟️Pack extra clothes and towels β€” children get wet and sandy quickly
πŸš—Evening visits are popular for cooler temperatures and golden light

β€œGreat sand pit and an even better water play area! There are big, adventurous slides for older kids too. It’s a fantastic place to let children enjoy sand and water without worrying about them running too deep into the sea. Small, cosy washrooms are conveniently located nearby for washing up and changing clothes. Parking is usually easy as well.”

β€œGreat view of the city from the top of the slide tower. It is great for children to play as there are 2 slides and small pools around it for children to play in. Inside the tower, there are also ropes structures for children and adult to climb to the top. It is a great get away from the city life. Great playground.”

Overview

Coastal Playgrove sits within East Coast Park and draws families with its mix of challenging and sensory play. A tall slide tower offers panoramic city views from the top, with two slides and small water pools around its base. Rope-climbing structures inside the tower challenge kids on the way up. A separate sandpit faces the water, giving younger children a safe place to dig and build while older ones tackle the bigger equipment. Clean washrooms sit conveniently nearby.
