⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Treasure find! Tucked away in Kallang Leisure Park, this healthy fusion restaurant is a hidden gem run by a pharmacist couple. The menu is extensive, offering a great variety of Japanese–Western fusion dishes that cater to both taste and nutrition. As a nutritionist, I often encourage people to prioritise adequate protein intake, and I understand how challenging it can be to find well-balanced, protein-rich meals when dining out. This place truly delivers — every plate was thoughtfully put together with a good balance of carbohydrates, vegetables, and generously sized protein portions well beyond the typical “palm-sized” serving. The food was excellent and a true testament that healthy eating does not have to be boring or restrictive. Service was equally outstanding. Upon entering, we were warmly welcomed by a lady whom I believe is the owner. She and her husband were incredibly attentive and ensured we had enough table space for all the dishes we ordered — a small gesture that made a big difference to the dining experience. The cherry on top: we ordered a pumpkin cheesecake for a birthday celebration and wanted to pay for it, but she kindly offered it on the house. Such a thoughtful and heartfelt touch. The space itself is beautiful, inviting, and comfortable — perfect for a relaxed meal. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

We came across this family run restaurant as we were exploring the mall for a suitable dinner before attending a show at the Indoor Stadium. The first thing that caught our attention was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. My husband and I strolled by but returned because of the welcoming smiles of the 2 ladies (one young and the other middle-aged). We then perused the menu items and decided to try out the dishes. We were first given one complimentary drink each which was light and refreshing. We then ordered our food, and decided to share one Coke Zero. We were pleasantly surprised when we were given the Coke Zero, and offered cold water as well since one of us obviously didn’t order a drink - a rare occurrence nowadays in the F&B industry. The staff were all attentive and friendly, and made sure we were happy with the food and service. It’s been about 2 weeks since we visited so I can’t recall the names of the dishes. We ordered a salmon starter to share, a pasta with scallops, and a wagyu beef rice dish (no photo for this). All were great! Overall slightly pricey but expected for a restaurant in a mall near the Indoor Stadium. Wishing this family all the best in this endeavour. If I recall correctly, the couple are Pharmacists. Happy to support fellow healthcare professionals 💪🏻

We absolutely loved this charming, family-run restocafé in Kallang. They serve innovative, healthy, and seriously delicious food. Our personal highlights were the creamy mentai pasta and freshly made pizzas. But make sure to save space for their desserts - their salted caramel coffee cake and the smooth iced mocha were the best ways to end off the meal! Even though we visited for dinner on a Public Holiday, tables were aplenty with zero waiting time. Service staff were friendly and attentive and the free homemade iced lemon tea they served us was a lovely touch! The ambience was great too, and as we later found out the calming songs playing over the speaker were their own creation as well! Loved the concept behind Chef’s Playground, and the execution certainly didn’t disappoint. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back. 😊

We had a wonderful lunch at Chefs' Playground! It’s such a gem for families—the atmosphere is welcoming, and the food exceeded our expectations. The highlights of our meal: Kinoko Soup: This was incredible. It arrived piping hot, which is exactly how a good mushroom soup should be served. The flavor was rich and earthy. Teriyaki Pizza: You could tell this was fresh from the oven. The crust was perfect, and it was served very hot with a generous amount of toppings. The balance of flavors was spot on. Creamy Kinoko Pasta: A must-try for mushroom lovers! It was wonderfully creamy and very satisfying. Beyond the food, the service was top-notch. The staff were attentive and made us feel right at home. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a quality meal while the little ones are entertained. We will definitely be back with the Family!
